S2627-29 Casual Early Childhood Assistant and Educators

We are seeking Casual Early Childhood Assistant and Early Childhood Educators for the 2026-2027 school year.   These casual positions include assisting in implementing the effective day to day operations of the program, ensuring appropriate supervision, smooth transitions, and consistent routines.

Preference will be given to applicants who have :

• Level 1, 2 or 3 Early Child Care Certificate
• First Aid Certification
• Knowledge and experience working in an early childhood or school-aged care setting
• Effective interpersonal and relationship building skills
• Extensive understanding of child development theories and best practices
• Working knowledge of Alberta Childcare Licensing Regulations
• Familiarity with NLPS program philosophies, policies, and operational procedures
• Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities

The Role the Early Childhood Assistant or Educator may include :

• Upholding the program's philosophy, policies, and procedures in all daily practices
• Developing and implementing a high-quality, developmentally appropriate program for children and students to ensure smooth and consistent routines
• Maintaining confidentiality in all matters involving children, students, families and staff
• Supporting the development and implementation of a developmentally appropriate program for young children and students
• Ensuring all children and students are supervised at all times and accounted for during transitions and activities

Those not certified or those with similar education, we provide direction for those interested in registering for their Level 1 orientation course or assist with applying for reassessment of their current education.
